woah okay i had no idea the blog was so dead! so anyway, hello to anybody who still comes here occassionally! hahaha woah ziqian you bombarded with so many questions at one shot. i shall leave the answering of them to uhhhhhhhhhh cheryl since she seems to come here very often compared to the rest of us.
anyway, (no idea who will actually read this, but) i hope that you all will reaaaaaaaaaaaally reaaaaaaaaaaaaally put in more effort for jubilate. i know what mr goh said on friday may be super discouraging, but you all have got to work hard for yourselves next year okay. we'll be stepping down in approximately 2 months, and your next SL who is yet to be known will have the job of taking you all to syf. i know to you syf seems very far away but believe me one year flies by very quickly. so please don't use 'one year still very far what' as an excuse not to practice now okay! keep motivating yourself, practicing can be fun and not just boring old scales and stuff. if you hate practicing alone then you can find others from other sections and practice the songs together, that'll be more fun.
alllllllllllllllllso like what i've always told you all, ASK IF YOU NEED HELP AND DON'T KEEP QUIET. i don't know how many times i've said this, but yet there is still no response from you. i don't want to have a situation whereby you all are being forced down for extra practice and stuff because you're not up to standard and blah blah blah and then everybody's unhappy. please question if you don't know any parts or need fingerings or whatnot okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nobody will scold you or eat your head off because you asked so please be brave. i will be very sad if i find out that you don't know and didn't ask :(
so....... that's about all that i wanted to say to you. oh yeah i think that maybe some of you might be treating string as a chore rather than an enjoyment, and... truthfully i have no idea how to change that perspective (if yours is like that). all i know is that it really will be much enjoyable if everybody does their part (little or big) and the time in string will pass reaaaaaaaaaally fast. no joke.
anyway i'm sorry that i still owe you the bowings for dvorak and i'll really get down to it and give it to you all asap. CONTINUE TO WORK HARD, I HAVE FAITH IN YOU ALL :) and PLEASE tell me if you need sectionals i'll really try to find time after school. you can do it, all the way :) jiayou!
